The Plot Thickens

(From BCS Guru)

As expected, LSU and Oregon rose to Nos. 2 and 3, respectively in this week's BCS standings. Now, the mad dash to the finish begins for these two one-loss teams, trying to get that potential date with No. 1 Ohio State in New Orleans.

The Guru has added a new feature to the standings, now teams in contention for the national championship game, as well as BCS bowl games, are shaded in different colors. Later this week, the Guru will also offer a "Rooting Guide," which is a must-read for anybody with a team playing for either the BCS title or a BCS bowl berth.

First of all, love your site and visit it daily for updates. I'm kind of surprised that you don't have Missouri highlighted in the National Championship picture. It seems that if Oklahoma has a shot with one loss at Colorado, then a Missouri team that wins out would have a chance with one loss at Oklahoma which they would have avenged in the Big XII Championship game. Your thoughts? -jeff

Jeff -- After further review, I agree with you that Mizzou still does have a chance, however slim. Therefore I have added the Tigers back in the national title contenders list and updated the standings accordingly. Thanks!
